Cutler Real Estate asked Lise a few questions so you can get to know her better, and here are Lise's replies.
1. What is your professional/educational background?
I was raised in Magnolia and attended Sandy Valley Schools. I then graduated from The University of Akron with an Associate Degree. After getting married in 1980, I moved to Stow and began working in Personnel at The University of Akron for 7 years and then an Office Manager at Colonial Machine in Kent, OH, In 1992, I returned to the Sandy Valley Area to raise my children. I became a real estate agent in 2000 and was licensed with Realty One who was then purchased by Howard Hanna in 2008.
2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?
I have always loved looking at homes and following the real estate market. After selling a few homes and working with realtors, I decided to make the jump and give up my full-time job and go into real estate full time. I have been a full-time agent for the past 19 years and have been blessed to work with many wonderful people and help them achieve their real estate needs. Although it was scary to give up a full-time job, it was the best decision I've ever made.
3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?
I live in Magnolia with my husband, Mike. We moved to Magnolia after living in Stow 13 years. We enjoyed the Stow area but felt that we wanted to raise our two children in the same environment in which I had been raised. I also had my parents and sister and her family living in Magnolia. Magnolia is a small-knit community which is a part of the Sandy Valley School District. We felt smaller schools would be more beneficial to our children. In hindsight, it was the best thing we have done for our children as they received very good educations and were able to participate in many extracurricular activities and sports, being in a smaller district. The children have moved on but Magnolia is still a wonderful place to call home.
4. How do you spend your free time?
I enjoy socializing with friends. From Spring through Fall, I spend most weekends at Atwood Lake Campgrounds in our permanent camper.
5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?
6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?
